Cheap Wedding Invitations: Do-It-Yourself

If you have a computer and a decent printer you can create a quality wedding invitation for much less money than it would cost if you went to a stationary or print shop.

Simply purchase blank wedding invitations that fit in a printer. Here are 2 products that I recommend:

Hallmark Card Products

I’m a big fan of Hallmark products and highly recommend their Hallmark card printing products. The good thing about this is that it doesn’t require Internet access. You purchase the Hallmark blank cards

and install the Hallmark Card Studio 2008 or Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2008 software on your computer.

This lets you design wedding invitations and save the design on your computer for future use. Since you own the software you’re able to design not just wedding invitations, but also Thank You cards for your guests and members of your wedding party.

Avery Card Products

Begin by purchasing one of the following blank card packages:

Avery Textured Heavyweight Half-Fold Cards (#3378)

Avery Feather Edge Half-Fold Cards (#3251)

Avery Personal Creations White Quarter-Fold Cards (#3266)

Avery Matte Coated Half-Fold Greeting Cards (#3265)

Next:

  1. Go to the Design and Print Online page on the Avery site.
  2. Select “Create Project by Product Type.”
  3. Select the Avery greeting card product that you purchased from the list above.
  4. Create your invitation on the computer using a calligraphy font.
  5. Insert the blank wedding invitations into the printer and print.

You can also design greeting cards for family and friends. Both the Hallmark and the Avery cards are high quality card stock that’s pre-scored in the center for easy folding. They all come with matching envelopes.
